Brightspot is seeking a leader for our industry-leading Managed Services organization. This role is a part of the senior leadership team and will be instrumental in the continued success of the company and our clients.

This person will be responsible for the Managed Services business and organization, including direction, management, and oversight. They will own all aspects of our infrastructure and will be responsible for setup, provisioning, security, configuration, and administration of cloud assets in support of infrastructure hosting for Brightspot clients. They will be responsible for evaluating and integrating other cloud providers and services. They will work collaboratively with engineering and development resources to aid in the development and deployment of common tools and processes, with the CTO and CIO to plan for infrastructure improvements and contribute to the product roadmap and work closely with Services Delivery and Product Management teams to monitor customer experience. They will lead the development of a world-class infrastructure, application and customer experience monitoring organization.

This is an external-facing role, participating in sales efforts (as a supporting SME) and communicating with clients throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day cloud operations for the company
  • Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes
  • Monitor systems performance to proactively identify areas of improvement
  • Maintain working knowledge of all phases and areas of operations 
  • Coordinate support for operations throughout the business
  • Interview, hire, and train managers of operations teams as well as individual contributors
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to the senior leadership team
  • Project direction for custom client cloud engineering efforts

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience leading a cloud-focused DevOps and/or site reliability organization with client-facing infrastructures
  • Proven track record as a team leader with an understanding of management practices
  • Demonstrated project and budget management skills
  • Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement
  • Strong background in or knowledge of cloud computing, web application hosting and infrastructure, and software development lifecycle
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment
