Brightspot’s VP, Creative Services will provide leadership for the User Experience, Content, and Advertising/ Content Marketing functions of the company. In this role, you will use your leadership, creativity, and problem-solving skills to manage a group of talented professionals and, together, take the organization to the next level. You will work hand-in-hand with our marketing, technical, and product teams and with our Fortune 50 customers to deliver exceptional work with a strong sense of ownership in your work and an unwaveringly positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire Creative teams responsible for user experience design, editorial, content marketing, and advertising
  • Clear focus on the success of our Fortune 50 customers - elevating design and content services offerings and building long-term relationships
  • Facilitate and strengthen inter-departmental communications and collaboration, while also being driven, proactive and resourceful in driving efforts to meet business goals and strategies
  • Ensure projects are within budget, scope, and timelines - both internal and external facing projects
  • Leverage technical solutions and workflow optimization that will improve efficiencies and processes involving Creative production and outputs
  • Maintain awareness of marketplace "best practices" and industry trends with an emphasis on SEO
  • In conjunction with our Marketing department, produce effective and best-in-class customer-facing communications- including campaign development, microsites, and ad copy that reflect Brightspot’s differentiated product offering and appeal to our customer profile(s)

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of increasing levels of responsibility and experience in creative environments, with the majority of those years  focused on expertly leading creative teams in an agency environment
  • Superior strengths in user experience design, editorial, and advertising.  Experience in content marketing and building microsites for a product or software is preferred.
  • Experience successfully managing workflow and collaboration across multiple disciplines/departments in a deadline-driven environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate and inspire at all levels
  • Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking skills
  • Innate capabilities in multi-tasking, organization, adaptability
  • Works well under pressure, thrives in a multi-faceted work environment
  • Experience in managing shifting priorities and resource allocation, including an extended team of freelancers
  • Extensive knowledge of Sketch. Experience with Zeplin and Invision
  • Extensive knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc) and Microsoft (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Undergraduate degree (BFA, Marketing, or similar) or equivalent work experience
