The Manager, Business Development will lead and manage the Business Development Representative team in their efforts to generate new business opportunities. This includes daily activity management, coaching, and guidance as they work with prospective clients to determine their business challenges and requirements in the CMS space, and collaborate with our Account Executives to recommend solutions appropriate for their needs. You will spend your time creating and prioritizing strategic target account lists, coaching to improve call effectiveness, analyzing CRM metrics, and providing forecasting and reporting to the Account Executive team.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard and effectively manage the Business Development Representative team
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the team's sales pipeline to maintain team productivity and identify any volume gaps
  • Coach individuals to drive and improve performance and maintain a high level of morale & enthusiasm in a fast-paced environment
  • Meet sales quota and monitor sales levels and KPIs to achieve targets
  • Translate corporate initiatives into a representative-friendly format, emphasizing the relationship between corporate objectives and individual goals
  • Work closely with the cross-functional team to ensure that the sales teams have all the tools, including technology and programs required  to meet their objectives

Qualifications

  • 5+ years demonstrated achievement in a B2B prospecting sales role  
  • Inside sales team and people management experience, preferably in a B2B environment
  • Ability to coach and motivate a sales team
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills to drive results
  • Strong problem-solving/analytical abilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and an ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated understanding of key performance indicators, forecasting, and activity metrics
  • Experience in CMS, CRM, and/or Media Publishing Experience is a plus!
