Prior to co-founding Brightspot, in 2008, Lisa worked as a Creative Consultant for WebMD, leading efforts for the redesign and production of the consumer website’s wellness-focused areas. She also led the design of WebMD’s publishing platform and their suite of web-based authoring tools.
In 2006 and 2007, Lisa served as an Executive Creative Consultant to AXA Equitable Life Insurance, The Nature Conservancy and The Federal Reserve, developing their digital strategies and the creative direction for their online properties.
Prior to that, Lisa held the position of Vice President, Creative Director at AOL, where she managed talented teams of designers in Virginia, Mountain View and New York, working together on the design direction and execution of AOL’s consumer applications, including AOL.com, Search and AIM. She traveled internationally, working on global initiatives in Europe and Asia and also served as a lead on the 2003 AOL re-branding effort, including development of the new identity and iconography system, as well as the launch of the corporate and online visual style and brand guidelines.
Before AOL, Lisa worked as an Art Director for The Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones, Inc., where she helped take the print newspaper onto the web. In addition, Lisa worked as a print designer for clients including NBC Networks, MSNBC, The Food Network and HBO.
Lisa is a graduate of Parsons School of Design.
