How workflows plus roles help you manage assets without worry

Workflows: Media Desk allows you to create any number of transitions and statuses for your digital assets. You can include steps for reviews, edits and rejections. Workflows can be associated with a single content type or many—meaning images can follow a different path than videos. Media Desk also includes notifications, which alert users as assets move through the workflow.

Roles: Media Desk’s user and role system allows you to define granular permission groups to protect sensitive assets. Roles can be restricted to see only certain content types (for example, allow your designers to see only images, and your video editors to see only video assets), and within each content type, roles can be granted permission to perform only certain workflow actions. Meaning, if only one group should have permission to publish an asset live, then Media Desk can handle that permission setting for you.
