Kami brings more than 25 years of financial and operational expertise in large and medium-sized software, digital and multi-media enterprises. She oversees all financial aspects of the company, including accounting, budgeting and forecasting, long-term planning, cash management and business intelligence. As a member of the leadership team, Kami works across all functional areas (sales, human resources, operations) to establish systems and processes to achieve the company’s strategic growth objectives.
Prior to joining Brightspot, Kami was the COO/CFO of INVISION, Inc., a private equity backed cross-platform advertising solutions company acquired by Mediaocean LLC in 2016. At INVISION, Kami was responsible for strategy, finance, operations and human resources, and she built a scalable organization to support business transformation and product/market diversification.
Kami also worked at AOL, where she held a variety of senior financial planning and analysis roles, including SVP of Finance for AOL’s worldwide business operations and SVP of Finance for AOL’s web services division. At AOL, she was part of the executive team that planned and executed the rollout of the web services strategy in 2006, as well as the spin-off from Time Warner to a stand-alone public company in 2009.
Before joining AOL, Kami served as Vice President of Finance for the radio division of Clear Channel Communications. Kami was also Controller of Internet America, a local Internet service provider in Dallas that went public in 1998. She is a CPA and started her career in public accounting with KPMG.
Kami has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Tulsa and attended The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
