Your agentic AI assistant, right where you work

The Esca CMS agent brings AI directly into Brightspot to help you find, create and enrich content without switching tools. It works within the roles and permissions each user already has.
What is the Esca CMS agent?

The Esca CMS agent is Brightspot’s in-CMS AI assistant that helps you find, create and enhance content without leaving the editor.

You work with it the way you already work with AI: from a single AI panel available anywhere in the CMS, ask Esca what you need in plain language and she gets it done.

How Esca helps you
You’ve gotten used to getting things done by prompting. Esca brings that into the CMS, grounded in your content and your permissions.
Esca, Brightspot's AI agent, with her lure curled into a magnifying glass, surrounded by cards representing articles, images, audio, charts and video.
Find and take action
Ask Esca for the content you are looking for, see the results, then act on them without leaving the panel.
  • “Show me everything I’ve published this month”
  • “How have we covered this topic before?”
  • “Find our articles about X and suggest tags for the ones that are missing them”

Create and update
Ask Esca to draft a new page from a template or from scratch, add an FAQ module, and suggest and apply tags.
  • “Draft an FAQ from this article”
  • “Create a new page from our product template”
  • “Create an engaging page featuring this collection of articles”
Esca is an anglerfish, and the depths of your content are her territory. Let her take the tedious, repetitive work off your plate so you can spend less time fighting currents and more time in creative flow.

Follow her glow to content clarity.
The shift from AI that assists to AI that participates is underway. Governance is what makes it practical.
Frequently asked questions about the Esca CMS AI agent

The Esca CMS agent is Brightspot’s in-CMS AI assistant. From a single panel available anywhere in the CMS, you describe what you need in plain language and Esca handles it, grounded in the content you already have.

You can use Esca to search your content and act on it. Requests like “show me the pages published this week” or “list content associated with this topic” return answers drawn from your library. You can ask Esca to assist you with content creation with requests like “draft an FAQ for this article”, “create a new page based on this template”, or “suggest relevant tags to apply to these articles.”

Your content. When Esca answers a question, the response includes numbered citations linking back to the source assets, and you can expand the source list to see everything she drew on. She also shows the tools she is calling as she works, so you can follow what she did.

No. Before making a change, Esca describes her plan in the panel and waits for you to approve it. New assets are created as drafts unless you specifically ask for them to be published.

Yes. The feature has to be enabled and each user’s role needs the right permissions assigned. Once it is on, Esca operates inside the permissions that user already has, so she cannot surface or change anything they could not reach on their own.

For existing Brightspot customers, Create with AI is now Create with Esca. That change is a rename, and the feature works as it did before. Ask AI is now Ask Esca, and that one is substantially different. Where Ask AI could find and summarize content you already had, Ask Esca can act on it, drafting new assets, updating existing ones and applying tags, with your approval at each step.

Esca is available in Brightspot v5 and needs to be enabled in your project’s configuration. Your administrator can find setup instructions in the Brightspot AI documentation.
