Note
Before proceeding, retrieve the API Key, API Secret, Client ID, and Client Secret for the Twitter app to which you are connecting. You'll need those values in the following procedure.
To connect Brightspot to a Twitter app:
- Select > Social > Services > New Twitter Service.
- In the New Twitter Service widget, in the Name field, enter a name for the service. Editors see this name when they post assets to this Twitter app.
- In the Consumer Key (API Key), Consumer Secret (API Secret), Client ID, and Client Secret fields, paste the values from your Twitter console.
-
Click Save. If the connection is successful, a Connected message appears at the top of the Edit Twitter Service widget.
Select > Social > Accounts. Brightspot displays the new Twitter service in the Connect Accounts widget.
- Under Twitter Service, do the following:
Click Connect Account. Twitter asks for authentication.
Click Authorize App, and follow any additional steps in Twitter. You return to Brightspot with the Twitter account’s avatar displayed.
Editors can now post assets to Twitter; for details, see Sharing content on social networks.
