Embedding a promo module

You can embed an asset's promo into the rich-text editor. The promo contains the title, description, and image from the corresponding asset's promo; you can customize those three elements inside the promo module.

To embed a promo module in the rich-text editor:

  1. Click image, and select Promo.
  2. In the Promo field, select one of the following:
    • Inline—Displays the form to allow you to create a new promo from the current page.
    • Shared—Allows you to search and insert an existing shared promo.
  3. From the Item field, select one of the following:
    • Internal, and then select an existing asset. A link to the asset appears in the promo on the front end.
    • External, and then enter a URL to a web page. A link to the page appears in the promo on the front end.
    • No Link, and then select an existing asset. The front end does not include a link to the asset.
  4. In the Anchor field, select an anchor. This is a specific area within the promo that the visitor is taken to when clicking the link.
  5. In the Target field, select one of the following:
    • Same Window/Tab—Opens the promo in the same browser window or tab when the link is clicked.
    • New Window/Tab—Opens the promo in a new browser window or tab when the link is clicked. This is the default selection when you select External in the Item field.
  6. In the Title field, enter a title, or retain the default title from the selected asset (if available).
  7. In the Description field, enter a description, or retain the default description from the selected asset (if available).
  8. In the Image Override field, you have the option to search for a new image to display on this promo, or edit the existing image on the promo. If you make no changes in this field, the image currently associated with the selected promo is displayed.
  9. In the Call to Action Button Text field, specify the text to be displayed on the button in the promo. If you do not specify text, no button is shown in the promo.
