Rich-text module

The rich-text module adds customized formatted text to your published pages.

Note
Brightspot provides full support for the UTF-8 encoding standard. If you are publishing in a character set that conforms to this standard, editors can work natively in Brightspot, and visitors interact naturally with your published pages.

Note
This topic describes how to create a shared rich-text module that you can use in multiple assets. If you want to create a one-off rich-text module, see Creating a one-off module.

To create a rich-text module:

  1. In the header, click add.
  2. From the Create list, select Rich Text Module.
  3. Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.
  4. Complete your site's workflow and publish the rich-text module.
Field Description
Internal Name Enter an internal name for this asset. Brightspot uses this name internally, such as in the search panel and recent activity widget. This name is not visible to visitors to your site.
Title Enter a title. This title is visible to the visitors to your site.
Rich Text Enter formatted text.

The following illustration shows just one example of how Brightspot renders a rich-text module.
