Configuring Marketo


This topic explains how to configure the Marketo integration with Brightspot.

To configure the Marketo integration:

  1. Click menu > Admin > Sites & Settings.
  2. In the Sites widget, select the site for which you want to configure the Marketo integration.
  3. Under Integrations, expand Marketo.
  4. If you are configuring the Global site, do the following:

    1. Toggle on Enable Import.
    2. In the Fetch Size field, enter the number of forms Brightspot imports during each retrieval from Marketo.
  5. For each of your Marketo accounts, obtain the client ID, client secret, and endpoint.
  6. Under Accounts, do the following:

    1. Click add_circle_outline. A selection field appears.
    2. From the selection field, select Create New. A content edit form appears.
    3. In the Name field, enter a name for this account.
    4. In the Client ID and Client Secret fields, paste the values from step 5.
    5. In the Endpoint Domain field, enter the endpoint’s domain from step 5. For example, if the Marketo endpoint is https://example.mktorest.com/rest, enter the domain example.mktorest.com.
    6. Click Save.
    7. Click Back. You return to the Edit Global or Edit Site widget.
    8. From the selection field, select the Marketo account you just configured.
    9. Repeat steps a–h to configure additional Marketo accounts.
  7. If you are configuring the Global site, do the following:

    1. Under CMS, expand Advanced.
    2. In the Default Task Host field, enter the name of the host that runs background tasks.
  8. Click Save.

Brightspot saves the configuration, and ingests forms from the Marketo accounts every hour on the hour.
