Brightspot Integrations Guide

Configuring the OpenAI integration

The OpenAI integration assists editors with creating engaging content faster and more efficiently. This integration is configured and enabled at the global level.

Once enabled, the integration adds a chat AI tool to text fields within content types. This topic explains how to configure and enable the OpenAI integration.

To configure the OpenAI integration:

  1. Retrieve your API key and organization ID from your OpenAI console.
  2. Click menu > Admin > Sites & Settings > Sites > Global.
  3. Click search, located to the left of more_horiz, and type OpenAI.
  4. Toggle on Enabled to enable the integration.
  5. In the API Key field, enter the API key you retrieved in step 1.
  6. The Organization ID field is currently a placeholder for future integrations and does not need a value at this time. It will eventually use the organization ID you retrieved in step 1.
  7. Under Suggestions, enter any suggestions that will serve as shortcut prompts to send to the chat AI tool. For example, if you add I need help writing a headline as a suggestion, editors who interact with the chat AI tool can click this suggestion instead of typing it.
