Brightspot Integrations Guide

Creating API credentials in Vimeo

This topic explains how to create API credentials in Vimeo. You add those credentials to Brightspot, after which editors can browse for videos in your Vimeo account.

The following procedure describes an activity in a third-party application. While Brightspot periodically validates this procedure, individual steps may change in the interim without our knowledge. If you notice an inaccuracy, please leave feedback using the widget at the bottom of this topic.
The configuration in this topic is often done in parallel with the associated configuration in Brightspot. Consider performing this procedure along with the one described in Configuring the Vimeo integration.

To create API credentials in Vimeo:

  1. Log in to your Vimeo account.
  2. Go to the Vimeo developer landing page.
  3. In the banner, click Create an App.
  4. Enter an App name and Brief Description.
  5. Complete the other fields, and click Create App.
  6. Copy the Client identifier and Client secret into a text editor. (In the procedure Configuring the Vimeo integration, you paste these values into the Vimeo configuration in Brightspot.)
