Brightspot Integrations Guide

Configuring integrated searches with Google Drive

Note
This topic explains how to configure an integrated search integration. For details on how to perform an integrated search after you have configured it, see Performing integrated searches in Brightspot.

The Google Drive integration provides integrated searches of Google Drive resources directly from the search panel. You can configure this integrated search at the Global level or the site level. Global configurations are inherited by all sites, and site-level configurations override Global configurations. This topic explains how to configure this integrated search at the Global level.

To configure integrated searches with Google Drive:

  1. Obtain your Google Drive’s API key, client ID, and client secret from your Google account.
  2. Click menu> Admin > Sites & Settings > Sites > Global.
  3. Click search, located to the left of more_horiz, and type Google.
  4. In the Google Server API KeyDrive Client ID, and Drive Client Secret fields, paste the values from step 1. (Ignore the Task Host field, as it is not needed for this configuration.)
  5. Click Save.
