Brightspot Content Types Guide

Attachment File

This topic explains how to add an attachment file to Brightspot. Attachment files are any file that visitors open in an external app. Examples of attachment files include financial reports (.pdf format), data sets (.csv format), and compressed files (.zip format).

For a wire frame example of what this content type can look like on your site, see Attachment File design.

Tip
  • Before beginning these steps, make sure you save the presentation on the drive you are working from, or obtain its URL from the internet.
  • Brightspot provides content types that are specific to office productivity applications. For more information, see Document, Spreadsheet, and Presentation.

To add an attachment file:

  1. In the header, click add.
  2. From the Create list, select Attachment File.
  3. Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.
  4. Complete your site's workflow and publish the attachment file.

After you publish your attachment file, you can use it in assets such as pages and sections. You can also add attachment files to text you compose in the rich-text editor.
