Document
This topic explains how to add a document to Brightspot. Documents are effective for guidelines around logos, white papers, or for distributing terms and conditions to your internal audience. These are just examples, and your use cases for these asset types may vary greatly.
You can add the following file types of documents:
- .html
- .docx
- .dotx
- .odt
- .openxml
- .psd
- .pages
- .txt
- .rtf
To add a document:
- In the header, click .
- From the Create list, select Document.
- Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.
- Complete your site's workflow and publish the document.
After you publish your document, you can create a promo module or list module that contains it for use on landing pages such as pages and sections. You can also embed these modules into the rich-text editor. For details, see Embedding modules.
Field | Description |
File | Do one of the following: To upload a document from your computer, select New Upload. Click Choose and navigate to the document. To link to a document on the Internet, select New URL and paste the document's link. |
Title | In the Title field, enter a title. The title entered here is visible to the visitors to your site. |
Internal Name | In the Internal Name field, enter an internal name. Brightspot uses this name in selection fields. |
Description | Enter a description. This description is visible to the visitors to your site. |
