Spreadsheet
This guide explains how to add a spreadsheet to Brightspot. Spreadsheets are effective for sharing data-heavy assets, like ones that include figures detailing a company’s recent financial performance. These are just examples, and your use cases for these asset types may vary greatly.
You can add the following file types of spreadsheets:
- .csv
- .xls
- .xslx
- .ods
- .numbers
To add a spreadsheet:
- In the header, click .
- From the Create list, select Spreadsheet.
- Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.
- Complete your site's workflow and publish the spreadsheet.
After you publish your spreadsheet, you can use it in assets such as pages and sections. You can also add spreadsheets to text you compose in the rich-text editor.
Field | Description |
File | Do one of the following: To upload a spreadsheet from your computer, select New Upload. Click Choose and navigate to the spreadsheet. To link to a spreadsheet on the Internet, select New URL and paste the spreadsheet's link. |
Title | Enter a title. This title is visible to the visitors to your site. |
Internal Name | Enter an internal name for this asset. Brightspot uses this name internally, such as in the search panel and recent activity widget. This name is not visible to visitors to your site. |
Description | Enter a description. This description is visible to the visitors to your site. |
