Brightspot Content Types Guide

Creating a shared chapter

Shared chapters are chapters that are created and made available to multiple books within your site. This can be useful when you have several books that are each slightly different, but share some of the same components. Rather than recreate identical inline chapters for each book, you can create shared chapters that can be used across all books. This makes creating your books much more efficient. Any changes you make to the shared chapter are available in every book where it is used.

To create a shared chapter:

  1. In the header, click add.
  2. From the Create list, select Chapter.
  3. Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.
  4. Complete your site's workflow and publish the shared chapter.
