Brightspot Content Types Guide

Audio file

This topic explains how to add an audio file to Brightspot.

Note
While Brightspot supports uploading any file type, the audio file content type is designed to play audio files directly in a web browser; therefore, only upload audio types that are supported by web browsers.

Certain browsers and older versions of browsers may not play certain file types. As such, Brightspot recommends verifying that a file type is supported in the Browser support section of Cross-browser audio basics.
Tip
Before beginning these steps, make sure you save the audio file on the drive you are working from, or obtain its URL from the internet.

To add an audio file:

  1. In the header, click add.
  2. From the Create list, select Audio File.
  3. Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.
  4. Complete your site's workflow and publish the audio file.

After you save your audio file, you can use it in a podcast episode.
