Brightspot Content Types Guide

Tabs available to landing pages

The Main tab on each content edit page is used to build a landing page, like a homepage, a tab page, or a section page; however, there is also a varying set of tabs available to you to perform additional actions, like overriding what modules appear in the layout, changing the page heading, and much more. This topic can be referenced in conjunction with those found in Landing pages to better explain what options you have when building modules in Brightspot.

Field descriptions for landing page tabs

The Main tab contains required and optional fields that editors may fill out to create a landing page. Each landing page's Main tab is described in its respective topic.

The Overrides tab allows editors to override settings that are automatically configured on an landing page's content edit page. Overrides also exist to give editors a way to change change the front end layout of the landing page, how an asset is presented when being shared via URL, and more. Each override refers to overriding a setting that was inherited from somewhere else, usually from a higher level in the content hierarchy (for details, see Content hierarchy); however, in some cases, overrides overwrite values you enter into fields on the Main tab (for example, Promo Overrides, which default to the values you set for Title and Description, as well as others). Using the following tables as a reference, complete the fields as needed.
