The Main tab on each content edit page is used to build an asset, like an article, an image, or a newsletter; however, there is also a varying set of tabs available to you to perform additional actions, like overriding fields when the asset is shared, preventing it from showing up in search results, and much more. This topic can be referenced in conjunction with those found in Assets to better explain what options you have when building content in Brightspot.
The Main tab contains required and optional fields that editors may fill out to create a content type. Each content type's Main tab is described in its respective topic.
The Companion Content tab allows editors to add content that accompanies a video at a designated point in the video. Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.

Click add_circle_outline to add a timed companion content, then refer to the fields below.

Click search to find an asset to accompany this video.
Timestamp
Enter a timestamp in hh:mm:ss format to determine when the companion content is promoted on the video. Click Sync With Video File to set the companion content's timestamp to the present point in the video.
The Front-End tab allows editors to associate assets with icons that link to their social accounts. Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.

Caution
When entering a username or account name into the following fields, Brightspot automatically generates a URL and a clickable social icon that directs visitors to the author's social accounts. Ensure that the URL that is generated matches the URL of the account page before publishing.

Enter the username associated with the author's Facebook account.
Instagram Username
Enter the username associated with the author's Instagram account.
LinkedIn Entity
Select one of the following options:
None—Brightspot will not display a social link to a LinkedIn account on the front end.

Showcase—Enter the name of the showcase with which the author is affiliated.
User—Enter the username associated with the author's LinkedIn account.
You can only select one option from this list.
Pinterest Username
Enter the username associated with the author's Pinterest account.

Twitter Username
Enter the username associated with the author's Twitter account.

Select one of the following options:

Custom—Enter the name of a custom channel or video.
The Location tab allows editors to associate an uploaded image with location metadata. Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.

The Overrides tab allows editors to override settings that are automatically configured on an asset's content edit page. Overrides also exist to give editors a way to change the front end layout of the asset, how an asset is presented when being shared via URL, and more. Each override refers to overriding a setting that was inherited from somewhere else, usually from a higher level in the content hierarchy (for details, see Content hierarchy); however, in some cases, overrides overwrite values you enter into fields on the Main tab (for example, Promo Overrides, which default to the values you set for Title and Description, as well as others).Using the following tables as a reference, complete the fields as needed.

Select the primary media type of this article, either None, Audio, Gallery, Text, Video. This selection determines how the asset is treated when used as a promo.

Click add_circle_outline to add the available podcast providers for the podcast. This will appear as a link that is visible on the front end, and if multiple providers are added, they will display in the same order as the providers are added.
The Translations tab gives editors a way to send an asset for translation to submit an asset for language translation. It also serves as a dashboard for editors to view translations that have already been completed.

Enter Urchin Tracking Module (UTM) parameters to assist in marketing-related tracking. Individual module or promo settings may appear blank, but are defaulting to the parent settings.
