Brightspot CMS User Guide

Adding, removing, or "favoriting" items in your Quick Start widget

Your Quick Start widget defaults to the one assigned first to your role, then to the site you are working on, and then to the global site. You can customize your Quick Start widget by adding, removing and favoriting content types and individual assets.

To add content types and assets to the Quick Start widget:

  1. In the Quick Start widget, click settings.
  2. Under Create New Types, mark the content types you want to include in the Quick Start widget.
  3. Expand Dashboard.
  4. Under Edit Existing Content, click add_circle_outline. A selection field appears.
  5. Click search. A content picker appears.

To "favorite" content types and assets on the Quick Start widget:

In order to make the content types and assets you use most frequently easily accessible to you, Brightspot allows you to select items as your "favorite." Items that have been "favorited" show up in the leftmost spots of the Quick Start widget to eliminate the need for scrolling to find them.

  1. Open Brightspot to display the Quick Start widget.
  2. Hover over a content type or asset you want to "favorite," and click the star located in the upper-right corner.
