Brightspot CMS User Guide

Assigning permissions to assets on multiple sites

You can allow editors working on other sites to edit and publish the assets you create. For example, Adam works on the site Brightspot, and Olivia works on the site Blog. Olivia can edit the assets Adam wrote for Brightspot, and she can publish those assets on Blog.

To assign permissions to assets to other site editors:

  1. Search for and open the asset in the content edit page.
  2. Scroll down to the Sites widget.

  3. From the Owner and Access lists, and using the following table as a reference, select a combination of sites or site categories that provide the required permission to other sites and editors.
  4. Complete your site's workflow and publish the item.

The following table provides example settings for common permissions scenarios. Use this table in conjunction with the illustration "Sharing content with other editors" in the topic Permissions and multiple sites.
