Sharing content with other sites
Referring to the previous diagram—
- You can make the asset
Brand Storytelling
available for publication on two sites:Brightspot
andBlog
. - You can make the asset
Digital Newsrooms
available for publication on only one site:Blog
.
Because Brightspot organizes editors into roles and sites, when you share an asset with a site, you are also sharing it with other roles working on that site. If a role has access to site, and that site has access to an asset, then all editors associated with that role have access to the asset.

, and that role is associated with the siteBrightspot
. Referring to the illustration "Sharing content with other sites," Adam can publish the assetBrand Storytelling
to theBrightspot
site. - Harrison is associated with the role
Reviewer
, and that role is associated with the siteBlog
. Harrison can publish the assetsBrand Storytelling
andDigital Newsrooms
to his site. - Olivia is a global editor with no role, so she can publish both assets to both sites.
Using combinations of permissions at the site and role level, you can fine-tune access rules to groups of assets.
