Brightspot CMS User Guide

Advanced editing tools

Brightspot offers a number of more advanced editing tools built to save you time as you manage your content.

  • The Shelf—Allows for quickly dragging and dropping content to the content edit form from a content drawer called The Shelf.
  • Pre-publishing actions—Allows you to perform pre-publish actions before the first publish of an asset, such as ensuring the promo, SEO text, and social share descriptions are appropriate.
  • Post-publishing actions—Allows you to perform post-publish actions after the first publish of an asset, such as promoting that asset on a landing page or placing it inside another asset.
  • Preview to edit—Allows you to edit assets directly in the preview pane, helping you see your modified asset exactly as a site visitor does.
  • Bulk editing—Allows you to modify many assets at once, such as adding or removing tags from multiple articles, adding or removing names from author lists, and many other time-saving actions.

This section covers the advanced editing tools available to you.
