Bulk Editing
With bulk editing, you can modify many assets at once, such as adding or removing tags from multiple articles, adding or removing names from author lists, and many other time-saving actions.
To bulk edit multiple assets:
- In the search panel, do one of the following:
- Search for and filter the assets you want to edit.
- Click , and select the collection from which you want to edit assets.
- Select the assets you want to edit. Ensure the assets are the same content type.
- Click > Bulk > Bulk Edit. The Bulk Edit widget appears listing all fields you can modify.
- For each field, do one of the following:
- Select Keep to retain the field’s current value.
- Select Replace to update the field’s value for all selected assets.
Other options may be available depending on the field.
- Click Bulk Save.
With bulk archiving, you can archive many assets at once.
To bulk archive items:
- In the search panel, do one of the following:
- Search for and filter the assets you want to archive.
- Click , and select the collection from which you want to archive assets.

- Select the assets you want to archive.
- Click > Bulk > Bulk Archive. A confirmation message appears.
- Click Confirm Bulk Archive.
With bulk restoring, you can restore many archived assets at once.
To bulk restore assets:
- In the search panel, do one of the following:
- Search for and filter the assets you want to restore.
- Click , and select the collection containing archived assets.
- Select the assets you want to restore.
- Click > Bulk > Bulk Restore. A confirmation message appears.
- Click Confirm Bulk Restore.
Brightspot restores the assets to the state they were in prior to being archived. If the items were archived after being published, visitors can now view those items.
