Performing integrated searches in Brightspot


In addition to searching for items in Brightspot, you can perform an integrated search for items from services such as Vimeo and YouTube. Items you discover through integrated searches are read-only. If you want to modify them, you need to import the items into Brightspot.

To perform an integrated search:

  1. In the search panel, enter a search term, and from the content-type filter, under External Types, select an external content type. Brightspot displays matching items.

  2. Click an item. Brightspot displays the item in the content edit form along with associated metadata.

  3. If you want to modify the item, import it into Brightspot by clicking Import.
Note
Integrated search providers must be configured before they work in your instance of Brightspot. For more information on these configurations, see Integrated search.
